adr SKILL.md skillA
This file is byte-identical to the first copy the registry indexed. Same content hash, so the same checks give both the same grade.
adr from byerlikaya/claude-starter-kit is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.

Architecture Decision Record: context-decision-consequences, for decisions that are expensive to reverse. Written under docs/adr/.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Architecture Decision Record (ADR) <!-- routing-eval reads the next line; why it sits in the body: AGENT_TEMPLATE.md --> Trigger phrases: "adr", "architecture decision", "decision record", "why this approach", "why we chose", "why we went with", "nobody remembers why", "why we picked" ## When On an architecture/technology choice that is expensive to reverse, long-lived, or contested (database selection, auth strategy, critical pattern). Small/reversible decisions do not require an ADR. **Most of these are never announced as decisions, and that is how they get missed.** The examples above all sound like a question someone asked — "Redis or Postgres?" — so they are easy to recognise. The ones that actually escape arrive inside ordinary build work: you are asked to add a feature, and along the way you settle what an entity owns, what a session is bound to, what makes a row unique, which layer holds a rule. Nobody said "decide"; you decided anyway, and the next person inherits it with no idea it was a choice. Measured in the field: one infrastructure task settled four such questions and produced no record of any of them, in a session …

How to install
mdr add byerlikaya/claude-starter-kit/adr@sha256:5015bb5295d37205The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260924.a457823, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
