Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Designing a state machine through the MCP tools
The tools mutate one file: the active `.smdf.json` document. Every call is
`read file → mutate → write file → emit to the live bridge`. There is no in-memory session —
the file *is* the session, so a crash loses nothing and a second surface sees every change.
Read `smdf-reference.md` beside this skill for the full schema, the validation rules, and the
constructs the granular tools cannot express.

It reports the absolute path, whether a machine already lives there, and bridge status. If it
is the wrong document:

Both the disk target **and** the live bridge room re-point, because rooms are keyed by
absolute path. A missing file is a legitimate target — the next `create_state_machine` or
`load_definition` writes it. The path must end in `.json`; the convention is `.smdf.json`.

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
