Comprehensive toolkit for validating, linting, testing, and analyzing Helm charts and their rendered Kubernetes resources. Use this skill when working with Helm charts, validating templates, debugging chart issues, working with Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) that require documentation lookup, or checking Helm best practices.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Helm Chart Validator & Analysis Toolkit ## Overview This skill provides a comprehensive validation and analysis workflow for Helm charts, combining Helm-native linting, template rendering, YAML validation, schema validation, CRD documentation lookup, and security best practices checking. **IMPORTANT: This is a READ-ONLY validator.** It analyzes charts and proposes improvements but does NOT modify any files. All proposed changes are listed in the final summary for the user to review and apply manually or via the helm-generator skill. ## Philosophy - Validate in stages, because linting, rendering, schema checks and security checks each catch different faults. - Stay read-only: analyse the chart and propose changes, and leave applying them to the user. - Validate rendered output, not just chart sources, since templates can produce invalid manifests from valid-looking YAML. - Prefer documented CRD schemas over guesses when a resource has no published schema. - Continue through failing stages and report everything together in the final report. ## When to Use - Validating a Helm chart before release or deployment - Debugging template rendering errors or lint failures …

How to install
mdr add pantheon-org/tekhne/helm-validator@sha256:47dc2407dc3d73caThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261001.6ed2a6a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
