Write a custom JSX overlay component and add it to the project's overlay track.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Write Overlay An overlay is a React component rendered frame-by-frame by Puppeteer, composited over the footage at a specific timestamp. All overlays are custom JSX — there are no built-in templates. > See [MOTION.md](MOTION.md) for sandbox facts that matter once an overlay moves (SVG filters, the `duration` guard, beat math) and for how to verify motion by sampling. --- ## Execution context Custom overlay JSX runs in a sandboxed evaluator. How to install
mdr add thesampadilla/montaj/write-overlay@sha256:86da718f87edd648The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261015.a580dc5, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
