cli-architecture SKILL.md skillA
cli-architecture from ryo-ebata/cc-audit is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add ryo-ebata/cc-audit/cli-architecture@git:20260128.b3d3d80Pins git:20260128.b3d3d80 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

CLI tool design and architecture best practices inspired by Biome, OxcLint, and other modern Rust tools. Use when designing new features, refactoring architecture, or reviewing structural decisions.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# CLI Architecture Best Practices
Reference tools: **Biome**, **OxcLint**, **ripgrep**, **fd**
## Core Design Principles
### 1. Zero-Config by Default
```
User experience priority:
1. Works out of the box with sensible defaults
2. Configuration is optional enhancement
3. Explicit overrides when needed
```
```rust
// BAD: Requires configuration to work
let config = Config::load("config.yaml")?; // Fails if missing
// GOOD: Sensible defaults, optional config
let config = Config::load_or_default("config.yaml");
```
### 2. Modular Composability (Oxc Pattern)
Each component works independently or together:
```
│ CLI │
How to install
mdr add ryo-ebata/cc-audit/cli-architecture@sha256:9042121cb4758168The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260128.b3d3d80, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
