Writes the title, labels, reviewers and description of the merge request Kraft opens from a finished branch, following the repository's own templates and rules. Use when Kraft is about to open that merge request, after the work is done and reviewed locally.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Authoring the merge request's metadata Kraft is about to open a merge request from your branch. Everything you write here becomes the merge request itself: its title, its labels, who it asks to review, and the description a reviewer reads before they read anything else. Nobody rewrites the title or description after you: write it for the reviewer, not for Kraft. ## Read the repo's conventions first, and obey them over anything here - `.gitlab/merge_request_templates/*.md`, `.github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.md` (and `.github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE/*.md`): if the project ships a template, fill *that*, section for section, rather than this skill's own headings below. - `CONTRIBUTING.md` for stated title and description rules, **and for any label CI requires**. Some projects fail a merge request that carries no label of a given kind (a release or change-type label, say). If this one does, you must pick one: its CONTRIBUTING, or the CI job that checks, is where the choices are written down. If it states no label rule, there is none to satisfy. The same goes for **a section the description must carry**: a project can fail a merge request whose body lacks one (a …

How to install
mdr add itsomidkarami/kraft/mr-metadata@sha256:b22e560d5d5a079eThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261017.b7c17e1, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
