Free, local, read-only security self-audit for your own OpenClaw agent. Reads your OpenClaw config, bootstrap files, logs, agent session logs, and installed skills, plus a bounded host-security scan. It changes no OpenClaw config, skill or bootstrap file; its own history and state stay under ~/.clawseccheck (--no-history skips it, --purge removes it). Grades your setup A-F when all five check layers ran, naming what's missing otherwise. --monitor records a local baseline so every later run…

Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# ClawSecCheck - OpenClaw Security Self-Audit

> **Note for the agent:** symbols in this file are written as HTML entities (for example `🦞` is the lobster emoji). When you show them to the user, output the actual character, never the entity.

`{baseDir}` is the folder holding this file; reference files are `{baseDir}/docs/...`.

## When to use this skill

Activate when the user says anything like:
"check my OpenClaw security", "audit my OpenClaw setup", "is my OpenClaw agent safe",
"run a security check on my OpenClaw agent", "what's my OpenClaw security score",
"am I vulnerable to prompt injection in OpenClaw", "scan my OpenClaw agent",
"how secure is my OpenClaw setup", "test my OpenClaw agent for attacks",
"audit my OpenClaw agent".

Do NOT activate on a bare, unqualified "security check", "audit me", "am I vulnerable", or
"fix this" that names no OpenClaw/agent/skill/plugin/MCP subject - those are too generic to
imply consent to read the user's local OpenClaw config, credential-adjacent paths, and
…

How to install

The exact contents, by fingerprint
mdr add gl0di/clawseccheck/clawseccheck@sha256:34b43e4daa3ef155

The line at the top of this page pins the label v4.4.1, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
