Test-Driven Development workflow enforcement with RED-GREEN-REFACTOR cycle. Use only when the user explicitly asks for test-first work or improved test coverage.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Test-Driven Development (TDD) Workflow
Use this skill only when the user explicitly asks for tests; otherwise validate by reviewing the diff and the code it touches.
A disciplined approach to development where tests drive design and implementation.
## The TDD Mantra
> "Never write a line of code without a failing test."
## The RED-GREEN-REFACTOR Cycle
### RED Phase: Write a Failing Test
**Goal**: Define the expected behavior BEFORE implementation.
**Rules**:
1. Write the smallest test that fails
2. Test must fail for the RIGHT reason
3. Test should clearly express intent
4. Don't write implementation yet
**Example**:

**Goal**: Write the MINIMUM code to pass the test.

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
