Use when the user asks to be quizzed on, or to check their understanding of, code Claude wrote this session (for example 'quiz me on that' or 'do I actually understand this change?').
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Comprehension Check ## Overview The user owns what ships. This skill tests whether they could maintain the code Claude wrote this session by asking how it fails, not what it says. It runs only when the user asks. Never start a quiz, or offer a new one, unprompted (resuming a quiz the user already started is fine). ## When to Use - The user asks to be quizzed on, or to check their understanding of, a change Claude made. Do not use it for study topics or for code Claude did not change this session. Do not start it on your own after finishing work. ## Process 1. **Scope.** Find what Claude changed this session: `git diff`, `git diff --cached`, recent `git log`, and the conversation. Quiz only on Claude's changes, never the user's own edits; if you cannot tell whose change something is, ask. A file or commit the user names overrides this. With no git repo, use the conversation and the files Claude wrote. If nothing meaningful changed (clean tree, docs- or config-only, formatting), say so in a sentence or two and stop. …

How to install
mdr add narendawar/narens-claude-skills/comprehension-check@sha256:a0da3d7da4019ad6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261001.15ebe60, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
