# Kinetic reel A method for making editorial, high-energy motion reels entirely in code, distilled from "Work Reel ’26" (an 84 s portfolio reel: Microsoft → UW–Madison Surgery → Enterprise RAG → trace finale). It's bundled as a runnable `template/` (a 17 s demo that uses every technique) and a full worked example in `examples/work-reel-26/`. **How it works.** Every frame is a pure function of `t`. `reel/index.html` loads `reel/cues.js` (the timeline) and `reel/reel.js` (an ES module: three.js layers, a 2D type canvas and a WebGL post pass). `render.mjs` drives headless Chrome to render contact sheets, strips and stills for review, or every frame in parallel, and ffmpeg encodes the MP4. `music/score.mjs` synthesizes the score in Node from the same `cues.js`, so every hit lands on its frame. ## Workflow ### 0.
