# Use Brain Framework `bf` searches the brains registered in `~/.config/bf/config.yaml`: `--brain NAME|PATH` first, then `BF_BRAIN`, then the brain you are standing in, then every registered brain. Use it to resume a project, recall a decision, person or event, prepare a day, or ground an answer in the user's own history; save what you learn back as Markdown. Select a team brain explicitly for work so personal evidence stays out of shared context. ## Workflow 1. Check `bf --version` (9.x) and `bf status` when freshness matters; a stale source is reported, never collected implicitly. 1.
