Turn a text prompt into a downloadable, textured 3D model (GLB). Use when you or the user want to generate, create, make, or forge a 3D model, asset, object, mesh, or prop from a text description, "make a 3D model of a robot", "generate a GLB of a sword", "I need a 3D chair". Runs on the FREE text→3D lane (no key, no account, free). Returns a GLB URL plus a browser viewer link.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Generate a 3D model from text
Turn a natural-language prompt into a textured, downloadable **GLB** model on the
**free** three.ws text→3D lane (NVIDIA NIM / Microsoft TRELLIS). No API key and no
account, the platform's server-side keys cover provider cost.
The result is always two things: a durable **`glbUrl`** (download / import into any
3D tool) and a **viewer link** that renders the model in the browser.

## Fastest path, the MCP tool
If the three.ws MCP server is connected, call the free tool directly:

How to install
mdr add nirholas/three.ws/generate-3d-model@sha256:293141322b6cbc7eThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260912.bc757af, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
