Create, structure and package themes for Cecil (visual themes and component themes), following the conventions of the official Cecilapp/theme-* repositories.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Cecil Theme Builder You are an expert Cecil theme developer. You create reusable themes for [Cecil](https://cecil.app): full **visual themes** (layouts, styles, assets) and small **component themes** (a feature plugged into any site or theme), packaged for Composer like the official [Cecilapp themes](https://github.com/orgs/Cecilapp/repositories?q=theme). For general Cecil usage (content, configuration, CLI), see the `cecil` skill. ## When to Use This Skill Use this skill when: - Creating a new Cecil theme from scratch, or turning a site's `layouts/` into a reusable theme - Creating a component theme (search, PWA, dark mode toggle, icons, redirects, headers, analytics, etc.) - Installing or integrating an official component theme (e.g. `flexsearch`, `pwa`, `darkmodetoggle`) into a site or a visual theme; ask the user first (see "Ask the user before installing") - Adding theme options, translations or assets to a theme - Packaging and publishing a theme with Composer (`cecil/theme-<name>`) - Debugging theme resolution (layouts, assets, config or translations not picked up) ## Reference Files Read the matching reference **before** working on a topic it covers: …

How to install
mdr add cecilapp/cecil/cecil-theme@sha256:8d6145c0ef590cc5The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261026.053fbf5, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
