Use when preparing, reviewing, or reconciling an Australian BAS or IAS, or auditing transaction GST coding in a Xero Activity Statement: identifying missing GST and improper credits, mapping BAS labels, tying out GST control accounts, or investigating a GST variance before lodgement.

# BAS preparation Prepare a BAS workpaper from ledger exports and tie every label back to the general ledger. The output is a review-ready workpaper, not a lodgement. Lodgement belongs to the registered agent. For a transaction GST audit or coding review, read [the transaction review procedure](references/transaction-gst-review.md) before classifying rows. Account for every supplied detail occurrence and assess supply treatment, buyer credit entitlement and attribution separately. A report or control-account tie-out alone cannot establish correct treatment. Missing evidence remains unresolved; it does not mean zero GST. Transaction-only work does not require unrelated payroll or prior-period reports and does not establish readiness of the complete BAS. …

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
