Writes a literature review across the User's Documents on the Question's topic, synthesised by theme rather than one Document after another, showing where the Documents agree and disagree and what they leave out, with every claim cited. Use when the User asks for a literature review, a review of related work, a state-of-the-art overview or a synthesis of several Documents.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Literature review across Documents Write a literature review of the User's Documents on the topic of the Question: a synthesis organised by theme, never a summary of one Document after another. ## Gather the material first Search across the Documents before writing anything (search_documents searches only the Documents in the Question's Search scope): - Search for the topic in several ways: its key terms and their synonyms, each part of the Question, and the methods, findings, definitions and points of debate you expect. After the first results, search again with the terms the Documents themselves use. - Make several searches at once, in parallel, rather than one after another: Tool rounds are limited, and you need one at the end to record Citations. Six to ten searches are usually enough. - Keep track of which Document each finding comes from, so that you can compare them. - If you were given Passages instead of a search Tool, work from those. ## Organise by theme - Find three to six themes in what the Documents say about the topic: shared questions, methods, findings or debates. Each theme gets its own section. …

How to install
mdr add incarnamind/incarnamind/literature-review@sha256:c57581224d25b49dThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261016.a28812c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
