# Confessional Stand-Up Storytelling Build comedy from a personal anecdote that is genuinely uncomfortable, embarrassing, or painful, and mine it for laughs without softening the truth. ## Mindset The laugh and the honesty are the same event, not two separate ingredients: the audience laughs because the narrator admitted something true and dangerous about themselves, not despite it.
