# Promote Issue Interactive selection of the next issue(s) to work, with optional promotion to `roadmap/current`. This is the standalone promotion workflow extracted from the `/roadmap sync` promotion gate — it does not rewrite ROADMAP.md wholesale or sync labels repo-wide. ## Preconditions - `gh` CLI authenticated for `rshade/finfocus`. - Repo root has `ROADMAP.md` and `CONTEXT.md`. If either is missing, skip every file-update step below and limit yourself to label flips — say so in the summary. The "Deliberately empty" escape hatch only writes ROADMAP.md, so it is unavailable in this case: do not offer it. - Read `CONTEXT.md` first. How to install
mdr add rshade/finfocus/promote-issue@sha256:d999ba25ca76de34The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260928.fa00919, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
