k8s-yaml-generator SKILL.md skillA
k8s-yaml-generator from pantheon-org/tekhne is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add pantheon-org/tekhne/k8s-yaml-generator@git:20261002.bde081dPins git:20261002.bde081d in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Comprehensive toolkit for generating, validating, managing Kubernetes YAML resources. Use this skill when creating Kubernetes manifests (Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, StatefulSets, etc.), working with Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), generating production-ready K8s configurations.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# K8s YAML Generator ## Mindset **Mental Model**: Kubernetes YAML generation is about translating application requirements into declarative infrastructure. Think in terms of desired state, not imperative commands. A manifest that merely "applies without error" is not the bar — it must also survive a node restart, a rolling update, and a resource crunch without silently degrading, so generation and validation are never separable steps. The recurring pitfall is generating a manifest that validates cleanly today but hits a gotcha under load six months later, because a default (an inferred `imagePullPolicy`, an unset resource limit) was never made explicit. **Decision Framework**: 1. **Start with the workload** (Pod, Deployment, StatefulSet)—this defines what runs 2. **Add access layer** (Service, Ingress)—this defines how it's accessed 3. **Configure runtime** (ConfigMap, Secret)—this defines how it behaves 4. **Set constraints** (ResourceQuota, LimitRange, NetworkPolicy)—this defines boundaries **When to use this skill**: - Creating new Kubernetes resources from scratch - Converting Docker Compose or other formats to K8s manifests …

How to install
mdr add pantheon-org/tekhne/k8s-yaml-generator@sha256:2b9e25015e9585c1The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261002.bde081d, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
