Put a web app on someone's phone with Ovenlight, from their own computer, and share it with family or friends. Use when the person wants an app they made (or are about to make) on their phone, wants to share an app with their family, or is building or changing an app published with Ovenlight (the ovenlight connector, an app at a ts.net address, Ovenlight-User-Id headers, feedback from the Ovenlight app).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Ovenlight Ovenlight opens web apps that run on the person's computer, full screen on their phone. The `ovenlight` connector on that computer publishes each app and tells it who is calling. 1. **Read the guide before building or changing anything.** Call the `guide` tool of the `ovenlight` MCP server, or run `ovenlight guide`. It matches the installed connector. Follow it over anything here. 2. **If the connector isn't installed** (the MCP tools don't answer, and there's no `~/Library/Application Support/ovenlight/bin/ovenlight` on a Mac, `%LOCALAPPDATA%\ovenlight\bin\ovenlight.exe` on Windows, or `~/.local/state/ovenlight/bin/ovenlight` on Linux, with `$XDG_STATE_HOME` in place of `~/.local/state` when that's set), tell the person what Ovenlight needs, in plain words: a computer that stays on and awake (a laptop with its lid open), a Tailscale account, the Ovenlight app on their phone, and the connector, a free download. https://ovenlight.app/support#own-computer has the steps. Then wait for them; don't look for workarounds. If it is installed but not running, the person …

How to install
mdr add snowy-ghost/ovenlight/ovenlight@sha256:2ec61272e17efa90The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261017.088a774, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
