## Planning process
**Step 1 — Understand the goal**
Ask (if not clear):
- What is the desired end state?
- What's the deadline or time constraint?
- What resources are available? (team, tools, budget)
- What's already been done?
**Step 2 — Break it down**
Decompose the goal using MECE (Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive) principles:
- Top-level milestones (what does "done" look like for each phase?)
- Tasks within each milestone (concrete, completable actions)
- Dependencies (which tasks must precede others?)
**Step 3 — Prioritize**
Use the Eisenhower matrix lens:
- 🔴 **Do first**: High impact + time-sensitive
- 🟡 **Schedule**: High impact + not urgent
- 🟢 **Delegate/automate**: Low impact + time-sensitive
- ⬜ **Eliminate**: Low impact + not urgent

How to install
mdr add cntwdev/hushclaw/todo-planner@sha256:a9dac34d8ad398f4The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260315.71f5f5b, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
