Add or change a node in the Runpod concept graph (plugins/runpod/skills/runpod-usage/concepts/*.yaml), including process nodes that explain how something works step by step. Use when asked to add a concept, add a rule to one, document how a Runpod flow works, or fix a node. Covers duplicate checks, choosing the kind, finding public sources, writing the file, validating, and checking the graph. Pairs with the write-guide skill, which keeps the skills and docs linked to the concepts.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Add a concept to the graph Each node is one YAML file in `plugins/runpod/skills/runpod-usage/concepts/` (called `concepts/` below). The format, kinds, relation types and writing style are defined in `concepts/README.md`. Read it before writing; this skill is the procedure, not the format. Every file is public-facing. Everything in it must be safe to show a customer and backed by a public source. The validator enforces this. ## 1. Check it doesn't already exist Search ids, names and aliases before creating anything: ```bash grep -ril "<term>" plugins/runpod/skills/runpod-usage/concepts/ cd ontology/tools && pnpm build:sqlite && pnpm query concept "<term>" # resolves names and aliases pnpm query search "<term>" # finds rules that mention it ``` - If the idea is a fact about an existing concept, add a **rule** to that file instead of a new node. - If it is a new field or state of an existing resource, add it to that file's `fields` or `states`. - Create a new file only for a thing a customer or agent names on its own, or for a flow that spans concepts. ## 2. Pick the kind | If it is… | kind | Example | |---|---|---| …
Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add runpod/runpod-plugins-official/add-concept@sha256:cf7fe3474c552942The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261014.d340a5e, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
