Use for any Taskless task. Trigger when the user mentions Taskless by name, or when their request involves the .taskless/ directory or files in it (rules, rule-metadata). Specifically: - "create/add/write a taskless rule for X" - "improve/fix/iterate on this taskless rule" - "delete/remove this taskless rule" - "run taskless", "taskless check", "validate against taskless rules" - "taskless login/logout/status", "is taskless connected" - "add taskless to CI…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Taskless You do NOT have the steps for any Taskless action in your context. The current canonical recipes live behind `%(TASKLESS_CLI)s agent <topic>`. Always fetch the recipe first; do not improvise from prior knowledge — recipes change with each CLI version. ## Preflight: confirm you can run Taskless Once per session, before any other Taskless command, run `%(TASKLESS_CLI)s agent ok`. It touches no project files, and prints one line confirming the invocation works. Once you see it, go straight to the user's request: no survey of the install, and no menu of what Taskless can do. `init` writes an allow rule for this exact invocation into the permission settings of each harness it installs for, so the preflight usually passes. Run every Taskless command on a line of its own that begins with `%(TASKLESS_CLI)s`, with nothing around it: no variable assignment, `cd`, `mkdir`, `&&`, `;`, pipe, or redirect. Permission rules and classifier exceptions recognise the pinned call; a line that starts with anything else, or hands its output to another command, is judged as something else. Read the output from the call's result, and write any file a recipe asks for with your file tools. …

How to install
mdr add taskless/cli/taskless@sha256:2ada45a003cb32b7The line at the top of this page pins the label v0.13.4, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
