Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Tastemaker > Tastemaker is a free, open-source, local skill for coding agents (Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Windsurf) that gives them a real design process instead of a generic template. It studies real references before picking a palette, locks a contrast-checked style, casts real assets (icons, photography, fonts), and remembers what a person keeps or rejects across projects. Tastemaker is not a hosted app, a Figma plugin, or a prompt pack. It is a Markdown skill file plus a handful of Python scripts that run mechanical checks (contrast, structure diversity, copy diversity, component coherence, motion, anti-slop pattern scanning) before an agent is allowed to call a design "done." It installs with one command and runs entirely on the user's machine — no account, no server, no data leaves the project. ## Key facts - License: MIT - Install: `npx skills add codeswithroh/tastemaker` - Works with: Claude Code (skill + plugin marketplace), Gemini CLI, Windsurf, and any agent that can read a SKILL.md-style local skill - Cost: free - Source: https://github.com/codeswithroh/tastemaker ## Pages …

How to install
mdr add codeswithroh/tastemaker/site/llms.txt@sha256:1a0831bf04cfe504The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260928.5ecbfd4, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
