Audit trail and compliance on Control Plane. Use when the user asks about audit logs, who changed what, change tracking, audit contexts, writing custom audit events, security monitoring, SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI compliance.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Audit Trail & Compliance > **Tool availability:** `create_audit_context` and `edit_audit_context` need `?toolsets=full`. Every mutation on every Control Plane resource — via Console, CLI, API, Terraform, Pulumi, or MCP — is recorded automatically in an append-only, tamper-proof audit trail; nothing to configure. Most tasks are answering **"who changed what, when"** with `mcp__cpln__query_audit_events`. Custom audit contexts exist for one purpose only: letting your own workloads write their own audit events. ## The model Events live in **audit contexts** (org-scoped namespaces): | Context | Origin | Holds | |---|---|---| | `cpln` — built-in, one per org | `builtin` | every platform mutation, automatically | | custom — user-created | `default` | only events your workloads POST to it | - Platform events go **only** to `cpln`; custom contexts never receive them — querying one returns only what workloads wrote. - The `origin` value `default` means "user-created", not "default for the org". …

How to install
mdr add controlplane-com/ai-plugin/audit-compliance@sha256:334e201abab80ff5The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260925.7bf99b8, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
