Navigate code with IDE features and run proactive LSP diagnostics on files/folders/batches. Use as PRIMARY for code intelligence and type/error checks.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# LSP Navigation and Diagnostics
Use `lsp_navigation` as **PRIMARY** for code intelligence. Use `lens_diagnostics` with `source=lsp` as **PRIMARY** for proactive type/error checks. Do NOT use grep/glob/ast-grep first for code intelligence.
## Aggregate-tool hosts
Some hosts expose pi-lens through a single aggregate tool — `lens(action=...)` — instead of registering the standalone names below. On those hosts:
- Proactive checks: `lens({ action: "lsp_diagnostics", ... })` — same parameters as the table below; the cached-report entry point maps to `lens({ action: "diagnostics", ... })`.
- If `lsp_navigation` is not among the aggregate's actions, do not call the standalone name: use the host's structural search funnel (`symbol_search` → `module_report` → `read_symbol`) or the `ast-grep` CLI for navigation instead.
## Diagnostics
Use `lens_diagnostics` with `source=lsp` before builds/tests or after touching several files:

How to install
mdr add apmantza/pi-lens/pi-lens-lsp-navigation@sha256:43062922931703dcThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260911.ce53f48, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
