Triage a pile of workhub tasks, within one project or across several, and advise on the order, what can run in parallel, and whether a worktree is needed, then dispatch the approved ones. Use when the owner wants to know which task to take next, how to work through a backlog, or opens a session to steer many tasks; not for a fixed ordered list (task-chain) or a single task (task-handoff).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# task-orchestrate — Advise on the order, then dispatch
This session is the **conductor**. It reads the board, recommends an order, a
degree of parallelism and a start mode per task, and — once the owner approves —
routes each task to an existing runner. It does no task work itself and starts
nothing the owner has not approved. A session opened for this skill stays open:
it re-triages as tasks reach `review`.
Runners already exist; this skill only decides and hands over:
- `task-handoff` — a task in its own session (a Claude Desktop chip).
- `task-chain` — an ordered list run back to back, one subagent per task.
- A single subagent from here — only for a small, self-contained task.
`strategist` argues about direction against `strategy/`; this skill orders
work that is already on the board. Neither replaces the other.
## Steps
1. **Take stock (read-only).** `TC` = `node <plugin>/scripts/task-cli.mjs`.
- **Resolve the argument first.** `all` or no argument means every project.
Otherwise it is a slug or a project `alias`: `TC list --project` matches the
slug exactly and returns nothing for an alias, so resolve an alias to its

How to install
mdr add atman-33/workhub/task-orchestrate@sha256:ce92c390c012c60eThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261004.4c1c87e, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
