# X/Twitter Research
Research high-performing tweets from tracked accounts, identify outliers, and optionally analyze video content for hooks and structure.
## Prerequisites
- `APIFY_TOKEN` environment variable or in `.env`
- `GEMINI_API_KEY` environment variable or in `.env` (for video analysis)
- `apify-client` and `google-genai` Python packages
- Accounts configured in `.claude/context/x-accounts.md`

## Workflow
### 1. Create Run Folder

Parameters:
- `--days`: Days back to search (default: 30)
- `--max-items`: Max tweets per account (default: 100)
- `--handles`: Override accounts file with specific handles

How to install
mdr add bradautomates/head-of-content/x-research@sha256:3c0f4c064857442dThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260114.bdae5c6, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
