Use when working in a repository that uses bd or Beads for durable project task tracking, issue dependencies, blocker management, multi-session handoff, or shared work memory. # Beads Use Beads as the shared project task system. Local plans, scratch files, and personal memories are useful, but they are not the durable source of truth for project work. ## First Step Run: ```bash bd prime ``` If that prints nothing, check whether the repository has an active Beads workspace: ```bash bd where ``` ## Preferred Route Use the `bd` CLI when shell access is available. It is the most compact and direct Beads interface. ## Core CLI Workflow 1. Find work: ```bash bd ready bd list --status=open bd list --status=in_progress ``` 2. How to install
mdr add paulkinlan/web-uplift/beads@sha256:1a621606cfa9a14cThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260924.cc91b07, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
