Generate X/Twitter release promotion posts with ASCII tables and CodeSnap rendering. Use when writing release posts, promotion tweets, plugin announcements, or preparing social media content for new versions.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# /promote — Release Promotion Post Generator
Generate data-driven X/Twitter posts for plugin releases with ASCII cards ready for CodeSnap screenshots.
## When to use
Run `/promote vX.Y.Z` after tagging a release. Optionally add a title: `/promote v2.8.0 "LiveView Streams Overhaul"`.
## Output
All files go to `scratchpad/x-posts/{version}-release.md` (create directory if needed).
The output file contains three sections:
1. **ASCII Card** — box-drawing table for CodeSnap screenshot
2. **Tweet Thread** — 3-5 tweets in proven format
3. **CodeSnap Command** — exact CLI command to render the card
4. **Fact-Check** — every claim with verifiable data source

How to install
mdr add oliver-kriska/claude-elixir-phoenix/promote@sha256:ddb324bb5edffdf3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260403.784ba36, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
