# Frontend Architecture
How the UI is built and how it behaves.
**Scope.** Visual craft — palette, type, layout, motion, copy voice — is `frontend-design`. Measuring
what it costs is `{{skill:performance-analysis}}`. Mobile-first and the size of a loading state are already rules
in the global contract. Framework, router, and data library are the repository's decisions and live in
its own `AGENTS.md`; nothing here names one.
Written for browser UI: the URL section and bundle cost assume the web. Everything else — state
ownership, data entry, forms, async surfaces, contract types, accessibility — holds on native too.
## Component boundaries
- **Small, single-purpose, composable.** One component does one thing.
- **Separate what renders from what decides.** Presentational components take props and return UI;
logic and data live above them, in a composable unit — never in a base class, never in a deep leaf.

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
