jev SKILL.md skillA

jev from joetawil7/first-pass is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.

Install it, pinned
mdr add joetawil7/first-pass/jev@git:20260929.5291e17

Pins git:20260929.5291e17 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Sets up, checks or changes the optional Jev judge, the TypeSafe decision model that ship-check asks about review findings (is this real harm, is a small one worth fixing now, what proof does a small fix need). Shows whether it is on for each repo, which key it uses, switches it on or off, and sends one test request. Runs only when the user types it.

Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

What the file says

# jev

Jev is TypeSafe's decision model: it picks one option from a list and says how sure it is.
With the Claude Code plugin, `ship-check` can ask it three things about a review's findings:

- **harm**: does this finding do real harm (money, data, a side effect done twice or sent
wrong, security, legal, a crash, stuck work, or the change not doing its job)? Jev can
make a finding real harm. It can never clear one the review named, and an answer below
its confidence floor, or any failure, leaves the call to the rules.
- **priority**: for the list of smaller findings, which to recommend fixing now.
- **proof**: for a small fix the user picked, the least proof it needs (the repo's checks
only, a unit test, a test against the real database or service, or a browser test). A
real-harm fix always gets the full proof.

Without the judge, the rules make each call as written. Nothing here is needed to use
first-pass.

## What leaves the machine

For each finding asked about: its scenario, its worst case, who meets it and, for proof,
the fix in one line, after secrets, emails and phone numbers are blanked. They go to

How to install

The exact contents, by fingerprint
mdr add joetawil7/first-pass/jev@sha256:2d2155a5c15ecd63

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260929.5291e17, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
