agent-observability SKILL.md skillA
This file is byte-identical to the first copy the registry indexed. Same content hash, so the same checks give both the same grade.
agent-observability from francostino/opencode-skills-collection is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add francostino/opencode-skills-collection/agent-observability@v2.0Pins v2.0 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Instrument AI agents with tracing, token metrics, latency, and cost visibility.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Agent Observability
Monitor AI agent behavior with logs, traces, metrics, and cost telemetry. This skill covers the full observability stack for LLM-powered applications: from raw Prometheus counters to Grafana dashboards, OpenTelemetry tracing, structured logging, cost tracking, SLO definition, and PII redaction.
---
## Core Metrics
Define these metrics at the application layer. All examples use the Prometheus client library naming conventions.
### Latency
```python
from prometheus_client import Histogram
# Total end-to-end latency for a full agent turn (user prompt -> final response)
AGENT_LATENCY = Histogram(
"agent_request_duration_seconds",
"End-to-end latency of an agent request",
labelnames=["agent_name", "model", "status"],
buckets=(0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 30, 60, 120),
)
# Latency of a single LLM API call (one completion request)
LLM_CALL_LATENCY = Histogram(
"llm_call_duration_seconds",
"Latency of an individual LLM API call",
labelnames=["model", "provider", "stream"],
buckets=(0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 30),
)
# Latency of tool/function calls executed by the agent
TOOL_CALL_LATENCY = Histogram(
How to install
mdr add francostino/opencode-skills-collection/agent-observability@sha256:08958fb3a7be38f9The line at the top of this page pins the label v2.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
