How and when to use the agentspec CLI to manage skills, agents, MCP servers, sessions, memories, and project config across AI coding tools. Use when asked to install or share a skill, register an MCP server everywhere, find a past AI session, or sync agent resources between Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Gemini, Cursor, and friends.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# agentspec `agentspec` keeps one canonical copy of your agent resources in `~/.agents/` and renders them into explicitly selected AI coding tools. Register a resource once, then choose its destinations with `manage link` or `manage add --tools`. Run `agentspec --help` for the command map, or `agentspec commands --format json` for the full tree as machine-readable JSON. ## Output format Human-readable by default. Every command takes the **global** `--format json` flag. How to install
mdr add urmzd/agentspec/agentspec-usage@sha256:dc22ee224ef3e092The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260912.b670e07, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
