Bootstrap the .pdlc/ directory structure in a project, creating subdirectories and populating templates.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. What the file says
# Initialize PDLC Directory
Creates the `.pdlc/` directory structure in the project root (or `$1` if provided) and populates it with default templates.
Already-existing files are never overwritten — safe to run on a project that has partially adopted the structure.
## Prerequisites
- Apply the shared PDLC conventions in `skills/pdlc/references/shared.md`.
- Write access to the project root.
- The canonical templates at `../../templates/` relative to this skill file (i.e. `skills/pdlc/templates/`).
## Steps
1. Determine the project root: use `$1` if provided, otherwise the current working directory.
2. **Resolve the PDLC write location** per `pdlc/references/shared.md`: default `<project-root>/.pdlc/`; if it cannot be created and `PDLC_DIR` is set, use `$PDLC_DIR/{owner}/{repository}/.pdlc/`; mirror created files when set.
Record which location was used.
3. Create each directory below (under the resolved write location) if it does not already exist:

How to install
mdr add tomzx/agents/initialize-pdlc-directory@sha256:495623ce90d9384bThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261007.b35fc4b, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
