Drive and configure MacMD, the native macOS Markdown editor, from the command line or UI automation. Use when opening or editing .md files in MacMD, changing its themes, fonts, layout, or preferences programmatically, exporting Markdown to HTML or PDF through it, or verifying MacMD behavior. Not for editing Markdown text itself or for other editors.

How to install
mdr add sleetcrash/macmd/macmd@sha256:9c494c5b55744403The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260929.f0c264a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
