Cheaper and faster than /compact. Restores previous session context from Claude Code AND Codex transcripts by reading them directly — no LLM calls, no token cost. Also auto-loads a handoff written by /s-compact, if one exists. Triggers on "s-continue", "restore context", "what was I doing", "pick up where I left off", "resume work", "previous session", "codex session".
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Restore context from previous sessions so the user can pick up where they left off — without the cost of /compact.
**Two tools, one history.** Sessions come from Claude Code (`~/.claude/projects/`) and from Codex
(`~/.codex/sessions/`). A Codex rollout is rewritten into the shape Claude Code writes, one output
line per input line, so both are read by the same code and an `L{n}` marker still points at the
Codex original's line. Work stopped in one tool is therefore resumable in the other.

How to install
mdr add ww-w-ai/super-token-saver/s-continue@sha256:08924b43b0917921The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260930.f07bf00, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
