Benchmark skill for testing collision precedence between two scanned project roots. This is the CLAUDE-root variant. Use when asked to probe multi-root collisions.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Multi-Root Collision Probe (Claude-Root Variant) Copies of `probe-multiroot` with different content are installed under more than one project-level skills root a platform may scan. This is the copy at `.claude/skills/probe-multiroot/`, a root some platforms other than Claude Code also read. Claude-root canary phrase: **NIGHTJAR-KYANITE-6072** ## Instructions When activated, report: 1. "probe-multiroot activated. Canary: **NIGHTJAR-KYANITE-6072** (claude-root variant)" 2. **Precedence**: Only one variant's canary should appear above. Which root did the platform load from, as far as you can tell? 3. **Catalog**: Did your available-skills listing show `probe-multiroot` once, or more than once?

How to install
mdr add agent-ecosystem/agent-skill-implementation/probe-multiroot@sha256:f94b22ca26d1fd12The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260926.cb3708f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
