Start here for any Runpod task — running GPU/CPU pods, deploying serverless endpoints, templates, network volumes, building images, or understanding how Runpod works. Routes to the right skill (runpod-mcp, runpodctl, flash, companion-clis, runpod-usage, runpod-templates, runpod-build-template, runpod-migrate) and indexes two dozen live-verified end-to-end examples (golden paths) — use it when the lane is unclear, and for any multi-step or provisioning task even when it is not.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Runpod (router) The entrypoint for the Runpod skills. This skill does no work itself — it picks the right lane and hands off. For a multi-step or provisioning task, check the [worked examples](#worked-examples-golden-paths) first and let the matching one pick the lane; otherwise read the matching skill's `SKILL.md` next. ## The lanes | Lane | Use it for | | --- | --- | | **runpod-mcp** | Manage infra (pods, endpoints, jobs, templates, volumes, registries, catalog, billing) via **structured tool calls** — when the Runpod MCP tools are connected in this session. Routes on to the journey skill for the task (discovery, lifecycle-crud, serverless-deploy, pod-deploy, pod-doctor, endpoint-ops, cost-audit). | | **runpodctl** | Manage the same infra from a **terminal/CI/script**, including Hub browse/deploy, file transfer (`send`/`receive`), SSH keys, `doctor` setup, and model cache. | | **flash** | **Write Python** that runs on Runpod serverless — `@remote`/`@Endpoint` functions, `flash dev` hot-reload, `flash deploy`. Code-first, not infra management. | …

How to install
mdr add runpod/runpod-plugins-official/runpod@sha256:5dbe5962033767a2The line at the top of this page pins the label "1.8.0" # x-release-please-version, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
