Import an existing OpenClaw agent from its workspace directory into the current project. Triggers on /agent:import, "importar agente", "traer de openclaw", "import agent".
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Import an OpenClaw Agent
Import an existing agent from an OpenClaw installation into this directory, then offer the same setup steps a new agent gets (QMD, messaging, crons).
## Part 1: Copy the agent
1. **Discover OpenClaw workspaces** across plausible source locations. Users
commonly run OpenClaw as `root` and then run ClawCode as a non-root user
(e.g. inside an LXC where the service user is `claude`), so checking only
`~/.openclaw` misses those setups. Look in every readable root below and
union the results:

Override the search roots with the `CLAWCODE_OPENCLAW_ROOT` env var when
OpenClaw data lives in a non-standard location (e.g. a mounted volume).
If the loop returns nothing, ask the user for an absolute path to the
source workspace instead of silently falling back.
For each workspace found, read `IDENTITY.md` to show the agent's name.

How to install
mdr add crisandrews/clawcode/import@sha256:d3318f8ec800fbe9The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260609.3799ece, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
