renumber-migration SKILL.md skillB
renumber-migration from vzakharov/muthur is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add vzakharov/muthur/renumber-migration@git:20261014.0f16275Pins git:20261014.0f16275 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

STUB — not yet hydrated for this project. Resolve a sequential migration-number collision after another branch landed migrations first: adopt theirs, renumber yours on top, re-parent any snapshot. Hydrate this file against the project's migration tool before invoking it.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
> ⚠️ **STUB.** This skill has no working procedure yet. Before it can be > invoked, fill in: the migration tool, the file naming scheme, whatever > journal/snapshot/checksum files accompany a migration, and the commands to > regenerate them. Delete this banner once you have. If the project's migrations > are not sequentially numbered, delete the skill instead. ## What this skill is for Fixing the collision that happens whenever two branches each add migration `0042` and one of them lands first. It's mechanical, it's easy to get subtly wrong, and getting it wrong corrupts the migration history rather than failing loudly. ## Concerns that hold regardless of stack Each is something a hydrated version must handle. ### Sequential numbers collide by construction Any scheme where the next migration is "highest + 1" collides across concurrent branches. This isn't an edge case; it's the normal cost of readable ordering. The skill exists because the collision is routine. ### Detect the fork first Find the point where this branch's migrations diverged from the base's, and which numbers the base has since claimed. Everything downstream depends on getting this boundary right. …

How to install
mdr add vzakharov/muthur/renumber-migration@sha256:ab61ac18d6c2e93eThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261014.0f16275, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
