ssh SKILL.md skillB
ssh from openhands/extensions is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add openhands/extensions/ssh@git:20260701.599cc4dPins git:20260701.599cc4d in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Establish and manage SSH connections to remote machines, including key generation, configuration, and file transfers. Use when connecting to remote servers, executing remote commands, or transferring files via SCP.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# SSH Skill This skill provides capabilities for establishing and managing SSH connections to remote machines. Windows PowerShell equivalents for SSH config creation, key paths, ssh-agent, and permissions are in `references/windows.md`. ## Capabilities - Establish SSH connections using password or key-based authentication - Generate and manage SSH key pairs - Configure SSH for easier connections - Execute commands on remote machines - Transfer files between local and remote machines - Manage SSH configurations and known hosts ## Authentication Methods ### Password Authentication ```bash ssh username@hostname ``` When prompted, you should ask the user for their password or a private key. ### Key-Based Authentication Generate a new SSH key pair: ```bash ssh-keygen -t ed25519 -f ~/.ssh/key_name -C "comment" -N "" ``` Copy the public key to the remote server: ```bash ssh-copy-id -i ~/.ssh/key_name.pub username@hostname ``` Connect using the private key: ```bash ssh -i ~/.ssh/key_name username@hostname ``` ## SSH Configuration Create or edit the SSH config file for easier connections: ```bash mkdir -p ~/.ssh cat > ~/.ssh/config << 'EOF' Host alias …

How to install
mdr add openhands/extensions/ssh@sha256:ca7cca10ed32ca28The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260701.599cc4d, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
