Pick up an existing branch or PR and do whatever it needs — attach to it, read off which lane applies (an approved plan to implement, review of a plan still in draft, or feedback on shipped code), and run that lane. Invoke as `/handle [<branch|#PR|PR-url>] [and finalize] [extra guidance]`, the target defaulting to the branch you are on. Use when the operator says "/handle", "handle <branch>", "handle and finalize <branch>", "pick up <branch>", or hands over a branch without saying what it needs.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
End state of this skill: the branch is attached, the one lane the branch called for has run and pushed, every review comment addressed has been replied to on GitHub, and land-prep has run **iff** the invocation asked for it. ## Argument shape Four parts, order-free: - **Target** (first token by convention): a branch name, `#NNN`, or any PR URL — the grammar `@.claude/skills/from-branch/SKILL.md` § "Argument shape" defines, used as-is. **With no target, the branch you are on is the target** — a bare `/handle` is what a session types when it is already attached, most often after a compaction boundary. The exception is the trunk: there is no work to read off it, so **stop and ask which branch** when that is where HEAD sits. - **`and finalize`** (flag; bare `finalize` counts too): recognized **anywhere** in the argument, since the operator writes it before the target as often as after (`/handle and finalize <branch>`). - **`and merge`** (`@.claude/skills/finalize/SKILL.md`'s flag): read as `and finalize`, and **not forwarded** — a lane produces its diff in this same turn, so the flag was typed before the thing it would merge existed. How to install
mdr add vzakharov/muthur/handle@sha256:52adc2be198bd849The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261027.88cb9bb, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
