Search what the workhub vault remembers - the distilled record in memory/ (decisions, lessons, where sessions stopped) first, then the verbatim past conversations. Use when the user asks what was discussed or decided before, says "recall", "思い出して", or wants to check past session context beyond what was auto-injected.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# memory-recall — Search what is remembered
Memory has two stores, and they hold the same history at different stages:
| Store | What is in it | How it is searched |
|---|---|---|
| `memory/notes/` + `memory/episodes/` | The **distilled** record: one typed note per decision, lesson or stopped session. In git | `cli.mjs notes` — type/status filters plus terms |
| `_ai/state/memory.db` | Every session's **verbatim** Q&A pairs. This machine only | `cli.mjs recall` — keyword + vector search |
The distilled record answers first. It is what someone decided was worth
keeping, it carries its reasoning, and it is the thing to cite. The verbatim
conversation is the raw material behind it: search it when the notes have no
answer, or when the exact wording matters.
## Steps
1. Parse the arguments: a free-text query and an optional day window.
2. **Search the notes.**
```bash
# terms (all required), in the title or the body
node "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/engine/cli.mjs" notes <terms...>
# when the answer has a shape, filter by it
node "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/engine/cli.mjs" notes --type decision --status open
…Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add atman-33/workhub/memory-recall@sha256:6374cafacd9f8c65The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260919.2bfb375, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
