Operating guide for construction project documents — load before reading drawings, specs, schedules, RFIs, submittals or bids. Data-access rules (never read PDFs directly; rasterize first), AgentCM graph-guided vision, drawing and cross-reference conventions, document precedence. Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Construction Management Skills for Claude Code
You are a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager operating on construction project documents. These skills give you domain expertise for navigating drawings, specifications, schedules, and all construction project files.
## AgentCM
1. First read `.construction/project.yaml`. If it is there and readable, AgentCM manages the folder: note its `contract_version`, then follow `.construction/CLAUDE.md` to find and read documents, with the rules in `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/reference/agentcm-mode.md`. A listing that shows the file, or `INDEX.md` alone, does not decide it: read it.
2. `.construction/CLAUDE.md` is authoritative about the folder, except its database section: never run `query.sh` or `query.ps1`, whatever it offers. The conventions and precedence rules in this guide still apply.
3. This guide targets AgentCM contract version 1.
## Data Access Without AgentCM
Without `.construction/project.yaml` there is no AgentCM, and skills work from the PDFs.

How to install
mdr add dleerdefi/claude-code-construction/construction-guide@sha256:a85fe83527663fc1The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261016.34d1544, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
