List, filter and file tasks on the workhub vault task board. Use when the user asks what tasks exist, what is assigned to the AI, what is in progress, wants to pick a task to work on, or says to put something on the board for later.

Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

## Preferred: run the task CLI

Run the bundled CLI — it resolves the vault, scans the task frontmatter
directly (never a stale index), refreshes `_ai/index/tasks.json`, and prints
a table:

Vault resolution order (built into the CLI; pass `--vault <path>` to
override): `WORKHUB_VAULT` env var → **the current directory if it is a
vault** (has `tasks/` and `_ai/`) → `vault_path` in
`%APPDATA%\workhub\config.json`. If none resolves, ask the user.

The `waiting-on` column lists a task's predecessors (`depends_on`) that are not
`done` yet. A task with anything there cannot be started: do not offer it as
the next one to pick. File a dependency with
`create --depends-on T-0012,T-0034`, or set it with
`update <id> --depends-on T-0012` (an empty value clears it; a loop is
refused). This is not `--blocked`, which is a flag for a wait on someone
outside; a dependency clears by itself once the predecessors are done.

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260930.4c9347d, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
