# specclaw bf-prototype

**First, run** `specclaw-ensure-init .specclaw` — idempotently creates `.specclaw/` if it doesn't exist (silent if already initialized; auto-inits using the current directory's basename as the project name).

Run this in the **legacy repo**, after `/specclaw-bf:bf-blueprint`.

**This stage exists only under `REINTERPRET`, and under `REINTERPRET` it is mandatory.** A project that decided `FAITHFUL`, `THEME-ONLY`, or has not decided `SQ-013` at all sees nothing: this command stops with a one-line reason and writes nothing, and every other command behaves exactly as it did before this command existed. Under `REINTERPRET` the whole new-repo side is locked until this command prints `PROTOTYPE: READY` — `/specclaw-bf:bf-bootstrap` will not scaffold and `/specclaw:propose` will not draft.

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261012.6b78134, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
