Route and orchestrate outcome-first product UI work. Use for answer, review, diagnosis, plan, prototype, build, or fix asks involving a page, dashboard, list, or settings surface, and for recirculating failed design review through declarations and evidence.

What the file says
# design-playbook
**Design I/O** — same process every run: inject **declarations** (what good is), run **contracts** (how work enters the pipeline), **recirculate** failures to the declaration that owns them.
Not a style library. For palettes/type catalogs use other packs; here the product pipeline and acceptance are the product.
## Plugin root (`<plugin>`)
`<plugin>` in every command below means the loaded plugin package root. Confirm it deterministically **before the first `<plugin>` command** — the skill's base directory is `<plugin>/skills/design-playbook`, so resolve from it and verify the package marker:

An empty `$CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT` (dev `--plugin-dir` loads) is expected; this probe does not depend on it. If the marker read fails, the loaded tree is not the packaged plugin — stop and report the path actually in use.

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
