Create safe Git feature or hotfix branches with concise names. Use when the user asks to create a local branch or suggest a branch name. A name-only request stays read-only; an explicit creation request authorizes creation after local checks. Ordinary feature work alone does not request a branch. Do not push, commit, rebase, or create PRs.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Branch Creator Create a local Git branch with a short, readable name: - `feat/<slug>` for normal feature work - `hotfix/<slug>` for urgent fixes or production-impacting repairs Three qualities define a good run, in this order: 1. **Accurate** — the prefix matches urgency, and the slug names the thing with words the team already uses. 2. **Fast** — the common case uses two shell calls and a handful of output lines. 3. **Short** — the slug is 1–3 words, ideally 2; short names get typed by hand, tab-completed, and scanned in PR lists, so every extra word costs more than it informs. Classify intent first: suggest a name when asked for naming; create when the user asks to create a branch. Reuse authorization already given in the conversation. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
