Design and implement integration tests that verify component interactions, API contracts, database operations, and service boundaries. Use when testing how modules, services, or systems work together.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Integration Testing > **Purpose**: Verify that components, services, and systems interact correctly across boundaries. > **Scope**: API testing, contract testing, database integration, service mocking, message queue testing. --- ## When to Use This Skill - Testing API endpoints with request/response validation - Verifying database queries and migrations - Testing service-to-service communication - Implementing consumer-driven contract testing - Validating message queue producers and consumers - Testing authentication and authorization flows - Verifying third-party API integrations ## When NOT to Use - Testing isolated functions or classes (use unit testing) - Full user journey testing (use e2e testing) - Load/stress testing (use performance testing) ## Prerequisites - Application with defined service boundaries - Docker available for Testcontainers (recommended) - API specifications (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, or similar) ## Decision Tree ``` What integration boundary? +- HTTP APIs? | +- Own API endpoints -> Supertest / httpx / RestAssured | +- Third-party APIs -> WireMock / MSW / responses | +- Consumer contracts -> Pact / Spring Cloud Contract +- Database? …

How to install
mdr add jnpiyush/agentx/integration-testing@sha256:180e83c41a0342f4The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
