Recommend primary/guardrail metrics for an experiment or rollout, judged against a good-metric checklist. Checks existing metrics and event health, surfaces auto-created guardrails. Doesn't create or attach metrics — see create-metric / instrument-metric / manage-experiments. Trigger phrases: choose/pick a metric, primary metric, guardrail metric, what to monitor.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Choose Metric
Recommend metrics for an FME experiment or feature-flag rollout: which is primary, which are guardrails/supporting, and which existing candidates are healthy enough to trust, judged against [what makes a good metric](../../../references/fme/metric-design.md#what-makes-a-good-metric). How to install
mdr add harness/harness-skills/choose-metric@sha256:397bd096349dcd84The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.3.2, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
